While its hardly fair to describe Pattaya girls as being unique in that they are for the most part Thai girls, it can be fairly said that there is a uniqueness about them which is often difficult to define.

In order to get a handle on what the Pattaya girls are really about, its wise to at least do some research into the background and culture of these lovely creatures to fully understand why they do what they do, and to be able to deal with the often times tragic and other times hilarious antics they often display.

If you’re new to, or are planning your first visit to Thailand, be well advised to do bit of searching around for at least some information on Pattaya girls and in Thailand generally before you take the dive.

I recall my first trip to Thailand 12 years ago, as an incompetent, bumbling and extremely naive Pattaya Virgin keen to “test the waters” of Pattaya girls.

I was the standard regulation middle aged “farang” (foreigner) just surfacing after a particularly harrowing and debilitating break up with my western wife of 15 years. In retrospect, I guess I was looking for some sort of consolation and understanding in the arms of whoever was willing to lend an ear and a shoulder to cry on.

While there are many of the Pattaya girls more than willing and capable of providing me with all I sought, my lack of education about these beautiful and at times little she devils, almost had me plunging headlong back into the dark and murky hole of despair I was trying so hard to crawl out of.

Fortunately at the time, my travelling companions where a couple of “Pattaya Wise” mates from Australia who were well skilled in the wiles of many of the Pattaya girls and who were just able to valiantly clutch my heels before I started falling hopelessly in love with almost every Pattaya girl my lecherous, hungry, ogling and more than lustful gaze descended upon.

What You Should Know about Pattaya Girls before you Go!

Long before venturing into Thailand it’s paramount to be aware that Thailand is a country whose culture is very different from those of western countries. It is for over ninety percent of the populace, immersed in Tao Buddhism and lots of the things we of the west may consider strange or abhorrent are not only accepted in Thailand but are indeed considered normal for Pattaya girls and indeed, Thai people.

It’s also relevant to consider that the lives led by Pattaya Girls are a distant cry from the moral standards laid down by traditional Thai culture and are exceptionally more strict than those of Christianity.

Most Pattaya girls live their lives almost totally absorbed in their traditional culture and family values, and Buddhism to them is not so much a religion, but rather a way of existence. However it’s not uncommon for a Thai girl to bend the rules somewhat in the constant battle to survive within a society lacking any form of social revenue hand outs such as welfare and government benefits etc.

With this in mind, and while not considering herself a lady of ill repute, it is quite acceptable for Pattaya girls to “go with” the patrons of the bar in which she works for a limited period, (short time) or for the whole night (long time) for a session of sensual and sexual pleasures found difficult to rival globally in a bid to make sufficient money to support her family.

Most of the Pattaya girls are well experienced in satisfying the desires of the “customer” and those who are new to the game are quickly tutored by the other more experienced girls or the Mama San who is herself usually one of the Pattaya girls who has become too old to “work bar” in the accepted way.

With prostitution being strictly illegal in Thailand the “up to you” GIFT made to Pattaya girls is usually predetermined before leaving the bar in which she works. Most of the girls are fiercely loyal to “My bar” (while the money is still coming) and treat it and her fellow bar girls more like family and a home away from home as opposed to a place of employment.

The “customer” she leaves with will have to pay the bar what’s termed as a “bar fine” which is a small pre-determined figure set for the individual bar and in most cases must be paid before leaving with his new found love. Go-go bars set a higher bar fine because the girls themselves are paid more to perform pole dancing “etc”. on a what is usually a raised platform or stage, where the girls are at most times scantily dressed if indeed dressed at all.

The bar fine pays for the Pattaya girls freedom away from the bar for the duration of the customer’s wants. You should also be aware that if you should like the company of your Pattaya girls, for an extended night or two, you will have to pay the bar fine for each night she is away from the bar. This is strictly adhered to and should she herself require time off for no legitimate reason, she will then be required to pay her own bar fine and it’s important to know that if for some reason, you don’t pay her bar fine, she will obliged to pay it herself.

The amount of bar fines for the working month is carefully recorded for each of the individual Pattaya girls and are added up at the end of the working month. She then receives a small percentage of the total. It’s quite common for a particularly comely or alluring girl to mass as many as 20 to 30 bar fines for a month during the high season.

It should also be noted that tips are a communal donation and that unless the tip is placed directly in the hand of the girl it’s intended for, the tips are then shared by all the girls working in the bar and sometimes includes the mama san.

Pattaya Girls Have Babies Too!

Don’t be at all surprised to learn that the Pattaya girls of your dreams could well have at least one child with a Thai father and indeed quite often have a Thai husband or boyfriend waiting for them in the wings.

In Thailand it is traditionally the responsibility of the females of the family to support the parents. The Pattaya girls parents will most likely live somewhere in a remote village in Issarn where quite, they will be raising the girl’s child or children. At the end of the month, she will send the majority of her money to her parents who in turn will pay for the child or children’s upbringing and education while only keeping enough money for herself to survive for a few days while relying on the generosity of her customers and her own whiles and talents to survive.

The borrowing and lending of money between Pattaya girls is common and quite often is never paid back and in many cases is not expected to be.

While falling hopelessly in love with one of the Pattaya girls is very easy, most men who do find it far easier to take the girl out of the bar than it is to take the bar out of the girl.

There have been many men who take a Thai girl out of Thailand and find the same principle applies and research has indicated that the most successful relationships existing between Pattaya girls and farangs, are ones where the farang lives in Thailand with his Thai wife or partner.
