I have been to Thailand many times and the best money I ever spent was on your books. Before reading your books I was a very stupid fa-lung. I still am a stupid fa-lung, but at least now I know it!

I am writing in appreciation of your extremely informative and amusing tome Money Number One. A must read for all would be ‘Bar Researchers’. This is my second visit to Pattaya (and not my last I hasten to add) and have benefited from the sound advise within the book.

  4. Tom says:

If I only remember part of your comments I will always agree when people say there must be something you don’t like about Thailand. I will remember to say, ‘Don Muang Airport Departure lounge.

“You don’t know what great pleasure and a good laugh your book gave me. You wrote all the things I have been thinking for years and you did it in an informative but lighthearted fashion. I have been telling all my friends about it. Good stuff and a great work of literature!!!!”

  6. Paul says:

“Mate, I could not put the book down until I finished it. All your comments are so true. I could not stop laughing especially how we as Fa-rungs rate No 13 on the list. How can we get more copies of your book as I have a number of guys here that need it URGENTLY before they go to Pattaya …”

  14. Mick says:

“Thank you for your books, they were invaluable on my first trip to Thailand … the bar girls could not believe it was my first trip, thanks to your books, although I still like to believe they were a tad on the cynical side and I hold a glimmer of hope for finding love in Thailand yet.”

    Mick (Aus)

  15. Tony says:

“My little teeluk sat reading Thai comic magazines, occasionally glaring at me and the book I was reading … every now and then she would make a comment, ‘You like book?’ to which I replied ‘Yes I like book, it all about you.’ This gained the response, ‘I know, book no good, it good for you, no good for me.’”

    Tony (UK)

  16. Kellio says:

I read the first of your books shortly after the first publication and have since read them all. I am a regular visitor to Thailand and I brush through them all before every trip to remind myself of the lore.
Great reading and a must for all those who wish to visit Thailand and avail them selves to the limitless opportunities awaiting the lustful male.

What a great book! So true! I would like to get a copy for my friends. Is that possible here in the U.S.? I am reading it a second time! I LOVE IT!

  20. Darrell says:

I started reading these books about a year after a very painful breakup with my wife of 15 years.
I read Money Number One, one night after another fruitless attempt to make my wife see reason.
It had me laughing and crying at the same time and ultimately led me to Thailand.
It was the best move I could have possibly made and soon had me scratching my head in wonder at why I had been so stupid as to waste my time on someone who had no cares for me whatsoever.
Whether you are broken hearted or just want a good laugh (and cry) I highly recommend that you have a read of at least one of these great books.

  21. Jack says:

Read the book, it’s one of the best books I’ve read on the subject. I think every newbie to Thailand should read this! It’s very funny as well.

  22. Dave says:

Not had the luxury of reading your book yet but it is next on my list. Alas, I too have had a similar experience, why are we all suckers ? Luckily I was not fleeced for a huge amount, I still believe she wanted a secure environment for a while, I was called back to England in November, leaving her alone for around six weeks.Fatal, that was the beginning of the end, the realisation dawned on me when I got back I threw her out. Simple. I will always have the memory of the wonderful time we had but will never fall for it again. Will post a further reply when I have read the book.

  23. Sean says:

Hi Dave. I hear many bells ringing and they are not the ones you hear on a sunlit Saturday afternoon with lots of people dressed up to the nines crowding around a quaint little church yard some where throwing rice and confetti.

They are the bells which ring after having heard or read a familiar story.

Alas, it’s all to easy to fall for a lovely smile and skin which feels like silk to the touch. Not to mention the pampering these girls bestow on we of the west with cash in our pockets.

Money number one will forever live as the number one catch cry in Pattaya.

    Sean
